Artist's Bio

After 20+ years in the corporate sector and nine years in the nonprofit world, finally pursuing my love of art is being met with great approval from my family and friends.  My mother always wanted me to pursue my art but I decided to go to business school (twice).   Fast forward 15 years, my for profit employer imploded during the dot.com experience, and I became director of a nonprofit teaching art center in Atlanta where I received art instruction as part of my compensation (Mom was very happy!).   Mixed media-pencil, pen & ink, and watercolor are my specialties while I tend to  gravitate toward realism and detailed subjects.   Since relocating to coastal Daniel Island ten+ years ago, I am continually inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry, Charleston’s history, and the whole southeastern coast.  I truly enjoy painting everything coastal and recently have begun to experiment with multiple layers of bolder colors.  I hope you enjoy watching my work in progress.
